Calvin Z. Cheng

Mr. Cheng’s practice focuses on providing corporate and securities counsel to emerging growth and middle-market companies, ranging from start-ups to public companies, executives and investors in a wide range of industries, including technology, industrials and manufacturing, life sciences, food & beverage, apparel and ecommerce in a diverse set of matters, including early to late stage financings, M&A transactions, and public offerings. He has extensive experience advising investors and acquirers on cross-border transactions, having advised on deals involving the U.S., China, Japan, Germany, Russia, Italy and Brazil, among other jurisdictions.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Calvin served as Counsel in the Global Merger & Acquisitions Practice of White & Case LLP in Silicon Valley and as an Associate in the Beijing and Los Angeles offices of Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he advised public and private companies, venture capital funds, investment banks, and REITs on mergers and acquisitions, venture financings, public offerings, periodic reporting under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and compliance with SEC, NYSE, and NASDAQ rules.
