Mr. McHale brings to clients over three decades of business transactional experience, representing privately-held and public companies, established businesses and startups, throughout their business lifecycles. Mr. McHale’s legal experience includes formations; capital raising, including equity and debt offerings and investments; joint ventures and strategic relationships; commercial and technology transactions; mergers and acquisitions; exit transactions and ownership transitions; going public transactions (IPO and SPAC); and pre-litigation dispute resolution.

Previously in his career, Mr. McHale was a shareholder at a boutique law firm in Southern California with a focus on representation of media, communications, and entertainment companies, including leading companies in the independent motion picture industry. His practice included acting as outside securities and M&A counsel to several NYSE, NASDAQ and over-the-counter publicly held companies.

In recent years, Mr. McHale has represented companies across a wide range of industries including software and other technology companies, assisting clients in navigating the rapidly expanding legal and regulatory terrain for new and developing technologies.

    • Represented a well-known U.S. entertainment personality in a series of endorsement agreements with various technology startups, including the acquisition of equity interests in those companies.
