Reid M. Paoletta

Reid M. Paoletta is an associate in TroyGould’s Real Estate Department, where he advises clients on a wide range of commercial and residential real estate matters. His practice includes acquisitions and dispositions, real estate finance, leasing, title and survey review, development, construction, easements, and land use. Mr. Paoletta counsels clients through all phases of complex transactions, bringing a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to deal structuring and regulatory challenges.

Prior to joining TroyGould, Mr. Paoletta practiced real estate and corporate law in Napa and Sonoma County, representing clients in the food & beverage and hospitality sectors. His experience includes structuring and negotiating high-value deals, advising on land use and development issues, and drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, such as easements, CC&Rs, and business operations contracts. He began his legal career as a patent litigator at Quinn Emanuel’s San Francisco office, where he developed a sharp analytical foundation that continues to inform his transactional practice.

Known for his strategic, outcome-driven approach, Mr. Paoletta helps clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity and efficiency. He combines meticulous attention to detail with a practical focus on results, guiding clients toward effective solutions while minimizing friction and delay. Mr. Paoletta is committed to delivering high-quality legal counsel that is responsive, thoughtful, and aligned with his clients’ business objectives.

Mr. Paoletta earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and holds a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. He also holds a WSET Level 3 certification in Wine (with Distinction) and previously founded, owned and operated a canned wine brand. His entrepreneurial background is integral to his business-minded, common-sense approach to his legal practice.
